Kristen McMahon is Vice President of McMahon, Squier and Associates, working on behalf of Democratic candidates for federal and statewide office, and Democratic Party committees. Prior to coming to MSA, McMahon worked at the White House in the Office of Vice President Al Gore and for the Dean for America presidential campaign where she managed the Office of the Campaign Manager. After the campaign, McMahon worked for the progressive Center for American Progress in a duel role as an Associate for Strategic Planning and as the Special Assistant to the President and CEO John Podesta.
As Vice President, Producer and Strategic Advisor at MSA, McMahon has worked on the large independent expenditure efforts of the Media Fund and the League of Conservation Voters – major progressive players in the 2004 presidential and senatorial campaigns. In 2005, McMahon worked on Howard Dean’s successful race for Chairman of the Democratic National Committee. In 2006, she executed the media campaigns for Governor John Baldacci, Congressman Baron Hill, Congressman John Sarbanes, as well as the DCCC Independent Expenditure Campaign. In 2008, she produced and managed the successful media campaigns for the Democratic National Committee, the DCCC Independent Expenditure Campaign, Congressman Jerry McNerney, Congressman John Hall and Congresswoman Carol Shea Porter.
